Deactivating or deleting your account

We'd hate to see you go, but if you’ve decided to leave Babysits, you have a couple of options. You can temporarily make your profile private, which allows you to make it visible again later, or you can permanently delete it.

What happens when you make your profile private?

  • Your profile will be hidden
  • Some information, like your reviews, may remain visible to others
  • You will not lose your history

Make your profile private

  1. Go to Account
  2. Click: Change visibility
  3. Click: Private
  4. Click: Save

How does account deletion work?

When you permanently close and delete your account:

  • Once your request is processed, your personal information will be permanently deleted, except for certain information that we're legally required or permitted to retain, as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
  • For Trust and Safety reason your identity check details are not immediately deleted. Any remaining data will be deleted after 9 month.
  • It may take 2-4 weeks until your public profile has been taken off public search engines like Google.

Once your account is deleted, you can't reactivate it, recover any data, or regain access. You'll need to set up a new account if you want to use Babysits again.

  2. Click: Delete Account
  3. Click on the next page: Delete account
  4. Click to confirm: Delete
